1. All items provided by the Charity are delivered free of charge. There is no public access to our warehouse. Collections from the warehouse can be arranged in exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of the Trustees. The Terms and Conditions below apply equally to collections made in this exceptional way.
2. Items to be delivered will be selected in the warehouse and loaded on the day. The warehouse staff will select the best items to meet your requirements. We have no facilities to enable clients to choose items, although we will always endeavour to meet any preferences which you have. Please give us these preferences when you book your delivery.
3. Booking of a delivery does not guarantee that the ordered item will be available on the delivery day.
4. Deliveries are usually done in the morning. We are unable to give precise delivery times, nor do we make arrangements to deliver at specific times. We can arrange for the van staff to contact you by phone on the day to give an approximate time of arrival. This must be arranged when the delivery booking is made.
5. When you agree to use our services, you agree to take the items offered, the ownership of which passes to you at the time of delivery. We are unable to accept returns. It is your responsibility to check that the item is not damaged at the time of delivery.
6. We will endeavour to deliver the items requested to the room of your choice. Should this not be possible we will leave the item(s) in another suitable place within the property. We are not responsible for installing furniture, and cannot be held responsible for any damage or injury sustained by incorrect installation.
7. We are unable to take away any items for disposal.
8. All of our staff are volunteers. The van staff have an expectation to be treated with respect at all times, and have the authority granted by the Trustees to refuse to deliver to any person that abuses them. This includes any behaviour which may put a volunteer in a compromising position.
